Project Overview

Grow Still, a non-profit organization based in Montreal, Canada, sought to establish a robust online presence to reflect its mission of supporting and empowering emerging adults in the community. The project involved designing and developing a user-friendly, visually engaging website from scratch that would effectively communicate the organization's programs, workshops, and events. As a Creative Director, I led this project to ensure that the design was not only aesthetically appealing but also intuitive and functional, seamlessly integrating digital marketing and engagement features.

As the Creative Director, I was responsible for the entire digital execution, from conceptualization to deployment. My role involved:

Goals

🌱 Create a User-Centric Website: A platform that intuitively showcases their workshops and resources while maintaining an inviting aesthetic.
🌱 Increase Engagement: Drive more traffic to their events by providing a smooth user experience.
🌱 Build a seamless way for users to support Grow Still through online donations.
🌱 Strengthen Brand Identity: Align the website’s visual design with their mission to empower emerging adults.

Challenges

The primary challenge was designing a dynamic website that catered to a diverse audience of emerging adults while handling Grow Still’s multiple workshops and events per month, a donation platform and active social media within a tight budget.

Strategy & Execution

🌱 Research & Discovery: I started by understanding the core values of Grow Still, speaking with stakeholders to learn about their vision, and identifying the needs of the target audience.
🌱 Design & Development: I designed a clean, modern UI & UX aesthetic that incorporated Grow Still’s branding. The layout was structured to make navigation seamless.
🌱 Content Creation & Copywriting: The tone and voice of the content were crafted to be both inspiring and informative, connecting with young adults seeking guidance. For SEO, keywords relevant to mental health, wellness, and youth development were strategically integrated to improve search engine visibility.
🌱 Testing & Launch: The website underwent rigorous testing across multiple browsers and devices to ensure there were no technical hiccups.

Results

🌱 35% increase in event registrations within the first quarter of the website launch.
🌱 55% boost in donations and online merch sales.
🌱 Enhanced Brand Recognition: The custom illustrations and cohesive brand design received positive feedback from both the client and site visitors.
